Meet Pandwe

Still I Rise

Maya Angelou

Dr. Pandwe Gibson is a distinguished scientist, a spirited visionary, and a tenacious ecopreneur with a fierce devotion to making the world a better place. To Pandwe, achieving success and mastering one's skill set requires that leaders submit to the idea of "failing forward." This is why she lives by the notion that if you're driven by something, you won't let anything stop you from the pursuit of that mission.

Dr. Gibson's diverse background has molded her into the experienced business owner and serial entrepreneur she is today. She is the president and founder of EcoTech Visions, a platform as a service for co-manufacturing. ETV is a blend of the physical and virtual. Their network of smart manufacturing facilities provides a number of essential services to ecopreneurs, including maker spaces, office spaces, event spaces, and high-quality business resources that support the design and development of sustainable products and packaging through artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, and blockchain technology. They also offer supply-chain logistics and a virtual marketplace and community where ecopreneurs can procure raw materials and make other retail purchases.

Dr. Gibson also founded the EcoTech Visions Foundation, a multimillion-dollar foundation that provides citizens with sustainable affordable housing and uses the proceeds to provide free educational programming that facilitates economic development through green technology and digital economy opportunities. The foundation's mission is to transition the workforce from blue and white collar to green collar.

Pandwe has proven her adeptness in transforming aspiring companies into profitable organizations, a talent she's demonstrated for over a decade. Throughout her career, she has had tremendous success with designing effective organization models for rapid growth—increasing market share by an average of 20%. Her knowledge and experience span artificial intelligence, computer vision technology, energytech, operations, human resource management, business development, ESG investing, and real estate. For the past two decades, she has advised and collaborated with the world’s leading theorists and practitioners at the frontiers of greentech.

Prior to EcoTech Visions, Dr. Gibson leveraged data and technology to start a network of highly successful charter schools in post-Katrina New Orleans, where she was born and raised. Pandwe wasn't living in New Orleans during the destruction and devastation of Hurricane Katrina, but a heightened concern for the lack of access to education happening in her hometown community prompted her to move back. This inspired the inception of the ReNEW Schools Charter Management Organization. Dr. Gibson started with six schools and, within three years, was overseeing sixteen locations using data-driven instructions and assessment.

A little-known fact about Dr. Gibson: she's participated in several White House briefings as an expert in ESG protocols and investing. She has served as an ambassador for the White House and Department of Energy under the last three presidential administrations advising on clean energy, rare earth elements, and entrepreneurship. Dr. Pandwe Gibson is proud to fulfill her civic duties, but she's also an impassioned philanthropist as well, faithful to her community.

Dr. Gibson has served on the board of directors for the American Red Cross, the World Green Growth Organization (WGGO), the U.S. Green Builders Council (USGBC), the Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce where she was awarded the key to Miami-Dade County, and The Ruby Bridges Foundation. She has also received numerous global honors for her work. She earned the title of Entrepreneur of the Year and was awarded the Trailblazer Award by the U.S. Green Builders Council. Before that, some of her honors and awards included being recognized as an African-American Achiever by J.M. Family Enterprises and as a Top 20 Under 40 by Brickell Magazine. She has also served as a panelist and guest speaker at a number of conferences, including Innovations in Climate Resilience, Congressional Black Caucus: 51st and 52nd Annual Legislative Conferences, Greentech, Cleantech, & Energy Innovation, and Malta Blockchain Week.

The list of places Dr Gibson has visited, lived, studied, taught, and worked is impressive. She's visited all 50 states across America; although, she considers the South and Midwest to be home. She's spent an extensive amount of time in the Caribbean, with relationships in Puerto Rico, Haiti, Bermuda, Jamaica, Cuba, Barbados, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. She's also frequented 15 African countries, Central and South America, Europe, Australia, and Asia. In addition to traveling, Pandwe also enjoys extreme sports, building tables, and relaxing on the beach.

Pandwe also loves extreme sports, is a certified advanced international yoga instructor, and is a student of Weng Chun Kung Fu (the only martial art founded by a woman and based on the movements of animals in nature). She has maintained her gymnastics interest from early childhood and enjoys skiing, scuba diving, and horseback riding. Pandwe is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. the oldest Black women’s sorority in the United States.

Dr. Pandwe Gibson graduated from Scripps College with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Black Studies, Gender Studies, and History. She then earned her Master of Education (MEd) degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Education/Urban Leadership from Claremont Graduate University, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Sustainable Studies from MIT Sloan School of Management, along with numerous licenses, certification, and certificates.
