Orchid Flowers, Acrylic and spray Paint, Plaster, wood

32 x 19in & 32 x 18 in

SUN and Her Progeny, a reproduction of the three-part series *The Golden SUNS* presented at Art Basel 2016, encapsulates both a tribute to its origins and an evolution of its form. This piece integrates dried orchid flowers into its composition, an addition that imbues the work with a delicate fragility and organic texture. By reducing the dimensions to one-third the size of the original while splitting the circle, the artist achieves an intimate and distinct reinterpretation of the theme.

The depth and tenure of *SUN and Her Progeny* facilitate a visual rhythm that evokes movement and energy, drawing the viewer into its dynamic interplay of colors and forms. Each element—be it the dried orchids, the vibrant acrylic, or the layered plaster—contributes to the idea of cyclical transformation, echoing the larger thematic underpinnings of the series. This reproduction not only honors its predecessor but also stands as a unique entity that invites contemplation of renewal, continuity, and the perpetual dance of light and shadow.
